Dr James Warn (Psychologist)
James provides a warm, considerate and supportive counselling approach with a focus on empowering you to function better in your everyday life. James has experience working with adults across the lifespan with a range of emotional, behavioural and adjustment problems, such as anxiety and depression. He understands the challenges people can face as they transition through different life stages and changes in their lives, especially work place related issues.
Areas of Experience
James draws on cognitive behavioural techniques (CBT) as well as an orientation to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy and adapts counselling to the individual’s situation. James has an interest in coaching psychology and working with individuals to develop problem solving to deal with immediate challenges and to achieve a more meaningful life in balance with their values and opportunities.
James is a general psychologist and holds an endorsement in Organisational Psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia. James is SIRA approved for CTP & Workcover. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a Fellow of the College of Organisational Psychologists.
James provides psychological treatment & support for individuals aged 16 and older at our Katoomba practice during business hours Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

James is available to see patients under:
- Mental Health Care Plans
- Full fee paying patients (no referral required)
